Happy First Birthday Hurley!

Hurley is one today! I can't believe that a year has passed since I had my sweet baby boy. Hurley is such a happy, healthy, strong boy. He usually is smiling. He climbs anything and he is not afraid to explore new things. He loves to be with his big sister Jensyn. He loves to eat. If he sees something he wants to eat he will make mmm sounds (like yummy noises) until he gets it. If he doesn't get it as fast as he thinks he should he starts to growl. I am so grateful for my sweet boy Hurley.

Today started with a candle in a Twinkie for him and Jensyn and me belting out Happy Birthday. We had some family and friends over for cake and ice cream. It was a nice evening. Thanks for everyone who came. And thanks for the gifts. Birthdays really are the best and I hope my kids know that I tried to make their day special for them.

Who came (for my info):
Grandpa/Grandma McKellar, Parker, Great Parker, Great Thacker, the Moffetts, the Wahlquists, Angie and kids, Nicole and kids, Robyn and James and kids, Ellen, Dwight and Ashley, The Birds, and the Sumners.

What he got:
books, a ball, trucks, clothes, curtains, a kitchen, sleeping bag, more trucks, cell phone, cards, and money

25th Street and the Fourth of July and a birthday celebration

On Friday I took Jensyn, Hurley, and my cute niece Morgan to 25th Street to look at some horse statues that are on the sidewalks. We had a lot of fun. Jensyn loved this horse called "Hershey". In fact she kissed it-she kissed all of the horses???? I don't know where that comes from. I don't kiss random things.

We also walked over to the Union Station and looked at the trains. Jensyn really enjoyed that. I think it is so neat that you can get up close and that it is so well kept.

My happy baby Hurley is a sleepy baby. He sleeps so much in his little stroller. I think he falls asleep on most of our outings. Hmm, I wonder if he gets bored.

Little did I know that the night we went to look at the horses that there would be a car show going on. Or more like it, a Harley Davidson show. So I took a picture of 25th Street to show you how busy it was. It was so nice that the road was closed. It made it easy to go back and forth.

Look how big this truck his. I don't like the truck-why would anyone put so much money into a vehicle. Jensyn thought it was pretty cool.
We had a lot of fun. Morgan was an awesome helper. I like that in the summer time there is so much to do. I don't want the summer to pass and for us to feel like we didn't do anything out of the ordinary.


Now for the FOURTH OF JULY. My pictures start from the evening and end with the parade cause of the way I uploaded them and I was too lazy to change them.

Jensyn and Darwin sold popsicles again. It was not as productive as last year I think it had to do with the cool weather.

The morning of the Fourth six members of my family ran in the Plain City 5K. It was a great way to start the day. I ran it in 28 minutes and 28 seconds. A personal record, which was easy to set since it was my first 5K!

My biggest support! I am glad that Darwin and the kids came. I know it was early and we had to wake this kids up but it meant a lot to have them there.

On the 5th the Thacker Family celebrated June and July birthdays. It was a crazy day. There were 10 birthdays that were celebrated.

Hurley left us for Millie (Darwin's cousin). They played "catch" together. It was quite cute and Hurley loved all the attention that Millie gave him.
