Update
MY HAPPY BABY
Hurley has been so incredibly cute lately (well, always). He has smiled so much latley. I love it. He always grins when I say "Hi Hurley." I don't know why he likes that so much but he does. He loves to suck on his fist. Darwin and I have tried countless times to get him to take a binkie but to no avail. He wants his fist or his mom. He also loves Jensyn. Whenever Jensyn comes to the room that Hurley is in he turns his head to find her. (Or maybe he is keeping an eye on her so he won't be surprised when she bounces by him.) Either way it is cute. I still can't get over how big Hurley is. Time is going so quickly (except when he is awake in the middle of the night). I have already forgotten so much about Jensyn when she was a baby. And sadly, I know that I am going to forget the things that Hurley does too. So I will have to do a much better job at writing the details.
Ok, for any of you that know what Darwin and I have been up to, you will be happy to know that Darwin is now certified in Collections for Nouveau Riche. I am so happy for him. BJ has set up a schedule that Darwin started following last Monday (so 9 days later) and he has already had success. I am so proud of Darwin. I wish that I had been more patient with him over the last six months. I hope that he continues to have success!
Next thing, this is Hayden and Jensyn. I dare say they're best friends. These two together can get into a lot of trouble. Really, they are cute together. Mostly they copy each other all day. They go to preschool together (At Grandma Nancy's) and they have a lot of fun. Jensyn asks most mornings if she will get to see Hayden that day. This picture was taken right before they went to the library for Discovery Time.
This is me with Jensyn and Hurley and my friend Sabrina with her two kids, Lily and Jackson. Sabrina and I used to live by each other in South Ogden (I can't talk about too much or I'll cry). We did a lot together, walked, watched each other's kids, ate dinner, talked about our husbands (nicley, of course), and talked-a lot. I do miss her everyday. We have kids that are close in age. Jensyn and Lily are about 4 and half months apart and Hurley and Jackson are 6 weeks apart. This picture was taken at her house after she made us pizza for dinner.
My mom, Jason, and Travis all ran in the Top of Utah Marathon last Saturday. It was so amazing to be there. I am so impressed by their hard work and dedication. They all ran 26.2 miles (CRAZY). My mom figures she has run over 400 miles since May (when she started training) and Jason has ran over 1,000! Good job you guys. I am so glad that I got to be a part of it. My little brother, Darrin, and I are going to start training for a half marathon that is in Vegas on Decemeber 7th. It is amazing how influential family can be. We are supposed to go on our first three mile run tonight-wish me luck. If you want more detailed information about the race on Saturday go to my mom's blog http://nanmckenchanted.blogspot.com/ or to Jason's blog http://hazlon.blogspot.com/. They have posted a few times about it and have more details.

He's a tank and she is potty trained!!
Now about Jensyn...SHE IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!! She is only two years old. I am so proud of her. She has been interested in the potty for quite some time now. But she really has it down now.
We gave her "baby suckers" (aka Dum Dum Suckers) when she went pee on the potty. They are super cheap and she loves that they are little.
And she got a donut (also called a baby donut by Jensyn) when she goes poop. We are still working on the number two but she is pretty good about it. She wears panties all day and a panty diaper (pull-up) at night. Jensyn loves donuts. After she got the peeing down we told her she could only have a 'baby sucker' if she pooped on the potty. It never happened-so this smart mom offered her a 'baby donut' if she pooped on the potty-MAGIC. I am very happy.
She also used a potty watch for a few days. I could set the timer on the watch to go off every 30, 60, or 90 minutes and then a little song would play. At first Jensyn thought it was great and was excited to go to the bathroom, then after a day or so she was sick of bein drug to the bathroom. I think she just figured it was easier to tell me or Darwin when she needed to go and not to depend on the watch. We have since passed the watch on to my niece Jovie-so good luck to her.

Hurley's Blessing Day
Darwin blessed Hurley with health , knowledge, and an example to his family, that he will serve a mission and get married in the temple, that family will be important to him, and that he will never have complications. I am grateful for my sweet baby boy. I am amazed by him often. It is crazy how different Hurley and Jensyn are. Hurley is a very cuddly baby. He loves to be held and loves skin to skin contact. Jensyn is not a cuddly person at all. It is fun to be a mom (and stressful). I love my two very special kids!

All dogs go to Heaven
I remember in winters when we had cats, Buster and the cats would lay by each other-to keep the cats warm. Buster was an amazing "guard dog". People that did not know him were afraid because of his size, but anyone that knew Buster knew how sweet he was. He always greeted anyone who came over.
I couldn't understand for a long time why people treated their pets like people. It has always annoyed me, but Buster truly is a part of our family. It really will be so different to not have him around. It was some what expected. Buster had really slowed down. He had a hard time going from laying to standing. Just this morning my mom and Hurley sat with Buster in the neighbor's yard. My mom kept telling Buster to come home. She sat and rubber his head. After dinner tonight my mom took Buster some left-overs, and she came in to tell us the sad news. Travis and Crystal were here. I called Darrin (Buster was his dog). That was a sad call to make. My mom called the Tingeys to tell them. Soon my dad, mom, Angie, Jordan, Morgan, Payton, Hayden, BJ, Boston, me, Darwin, Jensyn, Hurley, Travis, Crystal, and Darrin were all standing around Buster crying. We did talk about the wonderful things that Buster did for our family. He is a very special dog. I really hope that our dog will be in Heaven.
