Hurley's Stats

Playing with the Animal Train, he loves the music.

Being cute

Hurley had his 6 month check up yesterday. He is great. His weight is 15 pounds 3 oz (10-15th percentile) I was a kind of shocked that he was in such a low percentile because he seems so big to me. (If you compare him to Jensyn, Knox, and Nikell he is HUGE.) His height is 26 inches (50th percentile) and his ENORMOUS head is BIG (I can't remember how big but it is in the 75th percentile). He is such a happy and healthy boy. I smile everyday because of him. He is growing so fast. He rolls over and sits up (without support). He loves the tub and splashes lots. His two bottom front teeth are coming in. He put EVERYTHING in his mouth. Everything. Just today he started sucking on Jensyn's arm and she said, "I don't want Hurley to eat me!" Silly girl.

Today we went to the Draper Temple open house. If you have the opportunity to go, I recommend that you do. Jensyn has asked over and over if she can go to the temple. We have taken her to the Ogden and Salt Lake Temple to look at it from the outside. She asks to go in, but we tell her that she can't, not yet, anyway. I am grateful for her nursery leaders and the music leader that talk about the temple with her. I am glad that I have a two-year-old that has a desire to go to the temple. I hope and pray that is always something that she finds special.

When I heard that the Draper Temple was doing an open house (I think it ends March 14th) I was excited. I knew that Jensyn would be thrilled. The temple is BEAUTIFUL. I am always in awe of the details and the structure and design of things. We were able to go into the Celestial Room and stand together as a family. I never imagined that I would be able to be with my small children in the temple. It was remarkable. We sat in one of the sealing rooms and thought about families being together forever. I am so thankful that I will be able to be with my family forever as long as I live correctly. We looked in the mirrors that face one another and represent eternity. It was a wonderful day. I love my family very much. (We even got cookies and water after the tour.)

Hurley you are are growing up too fast. I think taking your kids to the Temple was a great idea, we just might have to go as well.

I too thought Hurley was HUGE! I guess it depends on what you are using as comparisons. The temple visit is a great idea. I hope that everyone that reads your blog and has small children will take their kids too.

I think Hurley looks perfect!! He looks(and is) normal size, especially compared to my babies. I just can't belive he is as old as he is already. He will be already a year when our baby comes or not quite a year. That is such a good idea about the temple. My girls would love it also. Talk to ya soon I hope!!
