EARRINGS

Jensyn got her ears pierced last night. She looks so cute. I was very nervous, but tried to act calm so she wouldn't be nervous too. She has been playing with my earrings a lot lately and I would ask her if she wanted her ears pierced, she always said, "No, it will hurt." I thought yep-you're right. My sister-in-law had her little girls' ears pierced when they were babies and I kept wondering if I should have done Jensyn's when she was a baby too. Well since I can't go back in time I asked Ashley if she would take Jensyn. Ashley said yes. And then she talked to Jensyn about it and of course Jensyn thought it was a great idea (as long as the idea is not mine-hmm two year olds). So Ashley and I set up the plans. But Darwin and I got anxious and Jensyn said that she was ready, so off to the mall we went.

We let Jensyn pick out the earrings that she wanted. She picked flowers and have a blue center and rhinestone petals. They are very cute. She never waivered from her original choice. When the girl put the first earring in Jensyn gave her a funny look. By the time the second earring was in she started to cry and asked us to take them out. She was so brave. She sat in the chair all by herself and didn't want me or Darwin to hold her. She did wake up once in the middle of the night saying that her ears hurt so Darwin gave her some Tylonel and cleaned her ears. This morning she was so excited to show off her earrings, bag (that said "Just Got My Ears Pierced!"), and cleaning solution to Payton and Hayden. She likes them and she did tell us that we don't need to clean them anymore because they don't hurt. I feel like she is so grown up!
