Jensyn is always coughing and then throwing up. It is sad because she is so small to begin with (an even 22 pounds). Darwin and I have talked to her peditrician about it, and he never says much. At least three times a week Jensyn will start coughing in the middle of the night and cough and cough until she throws up. It is VERY frustrating for me and probably more so for Jensyn. The last three to four weeks Jensyn has been sick. At first we thought she had a cold. It would last a few days and then come back but with more severe symptoms. Over and over we went through this. Last Friday we were told that she had un Upper Respiratory Infection (what were we told to do?...Wait it out). The last few days Jensyn has coughed more and more. She has asked to lay down and she has asked if she could take naps. This is unusual for her. Normally she is so active that I have a hard time keeping up with her. This morning my mom told me that Jensyn sounded wheezy. I called the doctor's office immediatly. We met with a P.A. this afternoon. Her oxygen level was kind of low, 93. It is supposed to be in the high 90's 93 isn't too bad but it isn't too good either. The doctor listened to her lungs. He said that her lungs were so tight that there was not a lot of air moving. Jensyn's ears had fluid in them but no infection. Her temperature was 103! He asked about how long she had been sick and asked if she had had a lung infection as a baby (nope). He asked if she coughs a lot at night and if she wakes up to cough (yes-like every other night). He asked if she coughs after she's been playing or outside (yes). He said it sounds like asthma. He recommended a breathing treatment. The nurse helped Jensyn with that. The doctor listened to her lungs after the treatment and said that he could hear improvement immediatley. We got a Nebulizer and now Jensyn will be doing a few breathing treatments a day until she gets better. I am glad that we finally an answer (and we weren't told to wait it out).

It is good to finally have an answer. Asthma must run in the family. The nebulizer will really help. Good luck
Poor little thing! I am glad you know what is causing it now. That always makes things better. I can't believe how big Hurley is! So cute! I hope little Jensyn gets feeling better soon so all of you can sleep better at night!
