Fall Days

On Monday we had the pleasure of going to the Treehouse again (I'm determined to get my money's worth). It was so fun. They were having a Pumpkin Party during Toddler Time. The kids got to make craft spiders, got two pumpkins, a fruit roll-up, and a cookie. The kids got to wear their costumes too. So, here is Hurley the horse and Jensyn as Scooby Dooby Doo! (At first she did NOT want to wear the costume and then when she saw herself in the mirror she just giggled-too cute!)

Waiting for Toddler Time to start since we were a little early. Jensyn had a free pass for a friend and so Hayden came along with us (and Grandma Nancy I am no where near capable taking care of so many kids). Hayden was Superman.

This picture was taken during story and singing time. Hayden is wearing the hat with the flower for the story. I wanted to get a picture of his face, but by the time he was turned around to participate he started to cry. So another little boy got to nod with the hat.

Scooby Doo and Superman after they came down the "dark" slide. I think they would have gone down this the entire time. Good thing there was grandma to help with this. She would stand at the top of the stairs (in the tree) and I would wait at the bottom for the two kids to come down.

Then later for Family Night we carved pumpkins. It always takes longer than I think that it should. Darwin carved a Tigger and I carved a spider and web.

Then tonight we went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat (which I think is the best way to take a two-year-old trick-or-treating). It was very fun. we had soup, salad, breadsticks, and cake. All very yummy. Then after dinner over 100 excited kids (and a few teenagers) went "trick-or-treating". Jensyn loved it. Hurley rode in his stroller and was kind of upset by the end of it. When we got home I sorted the candy by type-which Darwin thinks is super lame. I really believe that the majority of people do sort their candy. Actually I did a poll on our blog a year ago about sorting candy and I was right about how many people sort their candy....anyway a bit off subject.
Here's our family getting ready for the party

Very cute pictures! All the activities I agree, were very fun-except the pumpkin carving. I have never been a fan of that. Thanks for inviting us to the THM.

How fun... Way to take advantage of Halloween! Tigger is pretty sweet. I don't think that you should sort the candy. I think you should put it in a box, then wait until it all goes bad, then give it to your younger siblings.

OK--now that I have seen you and told you that I read your blog, I can comment. Before I was afraid you'd think I was some random person commenting on your posts. Anyway, your family is super cute and Hurley is even cuter in person!! It was so fun to see you last Friday! :-)

You did make a very cute cowGIRL. I love Hurley as a horse - it is a very cute costume. It looks like you guys have been super busy! I really need to go to that tree house thing one of these times. I bet the kids would love it. Thanks for letting us take over your rooms this weekend. We had a lot of fun with everyone.
